Year 6 Homework Project (1)

Class: Y6 Year: 2017 - 2018

In their last few weeks at primary school, Y6 have been given a homework project which has lots of challenges for them to complete and record in a scrapbook.  

The challenges are:

  1. Learn to count to 10 in a new language.
  2. Volunteer to do a job for a grown up, either at home or in school.
  3. Sketch/paint something you use every day.
  4. Take part in at least 30 minutes of physical exercise.
  5. Call a family member you haven’t spoken to for a while.
  6. Read a non-fiction book about a subject you are interested in.
  7. Say ‘yes’ to a new opportunity that comes your way.
  8. Draw your favourite place.
  9. Write a letter to a friend.
  10. Learn the rules of a sport you haven’t played before.
  11. Share something you have recently learnt with someone else.
  12. Walk outside. Close your eyes and listen. Either draw or describe 5 things you can hear.
  13. Go for a swim/walk/cycle with your family.
  14. Leave a note for somebody saying thank you and what you are grateful for.
  15. Record a song.
  16. Learn some basic first aid skills.
  17. Go to a live sporting event.
  18. Go to a music concert.
  19. Get involved in a play.
  20. Visiting a working company / business.
  21. Work with / visit / help an OAP.
  22. Write to the Prime Minister.
  23. The £2 challenge – shop and make a meal for your family for £2
  24. Have a water fight.
  25. Enter a competition run outside of school.
  26. Have a go at playing an instrument you have never played before.
  27. Use sewing skills to make something.
