Y6 Day Out 2019
Start: 16th Jul 2019
Every year, we take the Y6 children on a day out to celebrate the end of the year and as a treat for all of their hard work in their assessments and the production. It’s just Y6 and their teachers, a chance for them to have some fun and enjoy a day out with their friends before we finish for the summer holiday and they go off to their new schools.
This year we are going out on Tuesday 16th July.
We will leave school at 9.15am and go to Pitville Park in Cheltenham. From there, we will walk to Hollywood Bowl where we will have a game of 10-pin bowling. We will then walk to Sandford Lido for the children to have their lunch and enjoy a swim in the outdoor pool with their friends. We will return to school for approximately 2.45pm.
The cost of the day will be £8.50. The school is paying for the minibus to take us and bring us back. The £8.50 will cover the cost of bowling and entry into the lido. We would be grateful if you could make this payment on School Spider by Friday 12th July at the latest. The trip will not be able to go ahead without enough contributions.
The children do not need to wear school uniform. They should wear comfortable footwear as we will be walking between each location. They will need to bring a packed lunch to eat at the lido, and a drink. They can bring spending money if they wish - children in the past have enjoyed buying chips or an ice cream in the café at the lido.
Our summer disco is happening on the same day from 3.15pm on the school field. The children can, if they wish, bring a change of clothes for the disco into school in a bag in the morning and they will be given time to change when we get back from the lido.
If you have any questions, please come and talk to us. This is always a fun day out and we hope that it will be something they will really enjoy.
